I really like the apocalyptic mood in some of the levels of battlefield 2142. It's like the last remnants of humanity are killing each other in the final desperate battle.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. nice painting though love it, i like the light effects
like the guns muzzle flare
BF2142 is one of my favourite games, just played it fev maps.
The picture itself is really beautiful; I love the lighting in this small stowstorm. Small reflections to the side, and the gunfire's blazing light enhance the cold atmosphere. The snow, mysterious woods-type tree, and snow flying off those boots make for even more realism. Even though it's a speedpainting, the detail you put into it all is really impressive. Excellent work!
(I'm sure you've heard of Crysis, right? One of the levels has similar environments: [link] Beautiful DirectX 10 work right there. 8D )

Yes, I did play BF 2142. More than BF2... At the moment I'm Laying Bioshock though.
And of course I have heard of Crysis. Now thats one impressing-looking game. Cant wait!
